10 Days & 9 Nights

DAY 1: DIBRUGARH

Pick up from Dibrugarh airport/railway station and proceed to the hotel. Freshen up and leave for local sightseeing to Jagannath Temple, Mankota Heritage Bungalow. Overnight stay at Dibrugarh.

DAY 2: DIBRUGARH – TENGAPANI GOLDEN PAGODA – TINSUKIA

This morning after breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Tengapani Golden Pagoda (also known as Kongmu Kham in the Tai Khamti language, a Burmese-style Buddhist temple). Enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. Evening back to Tinsukia via Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu (India’s longest bridge) for overnight stay.

DAY 3: TINSUKIA- LEDO- NAMPHAKE – DIBRUGARH

After breakfast proceed to Ledo Mouglang Khamti Buddhist monastery (This monastery is under a holy man popularly known as “Bhante Baba” . His blessed “stone” is very popular which is known to protect a person many ailments). Spend some time here and proceed to Namphake, a beautiful Buddhist temple which is regarded as a meditation center. It is the oldest and most respected Buddhist monastery in Assam. Evening back to Dibrugarh for an overnight stay at Dibrugarh.

DAY 4: DIBRUGARH – NAMERI NATIONAL PARK

Early morning checkout from hotel and drive to Nameri National Park. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Nameri.

DAY 5: NAMERI – DIRANG

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive approximately 5 hours to Dirang valley. Visit Thupsung Dhargye Ling (a hub of Tibetan culture and Buddhist learning), LDL Buddhist monastery. You can also visit nearby places like Dirang Dzong, Hot water spring (if time permits). Overnight stay at Dirang Valley.

DAY 6: DIRANG – TAWANG

After breakfast, drive to Tawang which takes about 6 hours. Drive through Sela pass, a narrow pass in the mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 13,700 ft above mean sea level. This pass signals our entry into the Tawang valley which has several scenic spots like Paradise Lake, Jung Falls, Jaswant Garh, etc en route. Overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 7: TAWANG

After breakfast, enjoy Tawang’s local tourist spots. Tawang is the 6th Dalai Lama’s birthplace. It is a hill station situated at an altitude of 12000 ft above mean sea level and is one of the most spectacular destinations. It is the land of the Monpa Tribes.

Visiting the world’s second largest monastery, the Tawang Monastery, is a must do. Tawang Monastery is also known as the Gaden Namgyal Lhatse. You can also visit the Giant Buddha Statue, Dorjee Khandu Memorial and War Memorial. Overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 8: TAWANG –BOMDILA

This morning after breakfast drive to Bomdila which takes 6-7 hours. Visit Bomdila Monastery (Also known as Gentse Gaden Rabgyel Ling monastery). Bomdila viewpoint provides a magnanimous view of the entire West Kameng Valley from the highest point of this place. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

DAY 9: BOMDILA – GUWAHATI

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati. Enjoy a Dinner cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

DAY 10: GUWAHATI DEPARTURE

This morning after breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Guwahati airport/railway station with the blessing of Maa Kamakhya (which is one of the oldest of 51 Shakti Pithas).
