DAY 1: GUWAHATI

Pick up from Guwahati Airport and transfer to hotel. After refreshment, visit Maa Kamakhya Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya, one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. After this, visit Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, a major tourist spot in Guwahati which is northeast India’s largest cultural congregation. In the evening, enjoy a river cruise on the majestic Brahmaputra. Back to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2: GUWAHATI – SHILLONG

After breakfast, drive 3 hours to Shillong, the Scotland of the East. Enroute visit Umiam Lake where you can enjoy some water sports like water skiing, water scooters & others. Do some local sightseeing on arrival in Shillong, Don Bosco Museum, Wards Lake and Lady Hyderi Park are must-see attractions. Evening free for shopping in Shillong’s market hub, the Police Bazar. Overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 3: SHILLONG –CHERRAPUNJEE

After breakfast leave for Cherrapunjee, until not so long ago, the wettest place in the world. On the way to Cherrapunjee, you can visit the Elephant falls which is located approximately 12 km from Shillong. You will need to climb down 350-400 steps to enjoy these beautiful waterfalls.

Cherrapunjee is the land of gushing waterfalls and picturesque valleys. Some of the main attractions are the Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Seven sister falls and Eco Park. Mawsmai caves near Cherrapunji are an experience in itself, the limestone caves are well lit up. Evening check-in to the hotel for an overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

DAY 4: CHERRAPUNJEE –MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI –SHILLONG

After breakfast, leave for Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. The main attractions are the Living Root Bridge and Balancing rock. After lunch drive to Dawki, a small town in the Indo-Bangladesh border. The main attraction here is the Umngot River with crystal clear water. Evening back to Shillong for overnight stay.

DAY 5: SHILLONG – BHALUKPONG / NAMERI

After breakfast, drive about 6 hours to Bhalukpong/ Nameri. En-route visit Nameri National park where you can enjoy river rafting on the azure waters of Jia Bharali river. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong / Nameri.

DAY 6: NAMERI/ BHALUKPONG – DIRANG

After breakfast drive approximately 6 hours to Dirang, a charming valley located in Arunachal Pradesh. Visit Hot Water Spring, Dirang D’zong and Dirang Monastery here. Checkin to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 7: DIRANG – TAWANG

After breakfast, drive 5 hours to Tawang. You will cross Sela Pass, a narrow pass in the mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 13700 ft above mean sea level which signals your entry into the Tawang valley. There are many scenic spots on the way to Tawang. i.e. Paradise Lake, Jung fall, Jaswant garh. Overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 8: TAWANG – BUM LA PASS – TAWANG

After breakfast, drive to BUM LA PASS located in the Indo China border which is a must-visit destination when in Tawang. It is at an altitude of 16,500 ft above sea level and is located about 37 km away from Tawang. Enroute visit PTSO Lake, Madhuri Lake. Evening back to Tawang for local sightseeing.

Tawang is the 6th Dalai Lama’s birthplace. It is a hill station situated at an altitude of 3500 meters and is one of the most spectacular destinations. It is the land of the Monpa Tribes. The main attraction in Tawang is the 400-year-old Tawang Monastery. The Light and sound show at War Memorial, Dorjee Khandu Memorial are other tourist attractions. Overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 9: TAWANG – BOMDILA

This morning after breakfast proceed to Bomdila. En-route visit Bomdila Monastery from where you get a beautiful view of Bomdila town. Best time to visit is late afternoon. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

DAY 10: BOMDILA –KAZIRANGA

After breakfast drive 5-6 hours to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, in addition to tigers, elephants, Asiatic buffalo, panthers, and thousands of birds. Rest of the day free for leisure and overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 11: KAZIRANGA

Early morning go foran Elephant Safari in the National Park. After breakfast, you can do a jeep safari in the park. Visit Orchid garden and nearby tea garden. Evening you can enjoy a Bihu Dance at your own cost. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 12: KAZIRANGA – DIMAPUR

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive 5 hours to Dimapur, the gateway to Nagaland. Visit Nagaland State Museum. Evening is free for shopping at the local market. Overnight stay at Dimapur.

DAY 13: DIMAPUR – KOHIMA

After breakfast proceed to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Visit Kohima War Cemetery and Kisama Village. Kisama is 12 km from Kohima on the National Highway number 39. The gentle slope at the base of a steep mountain peak is the venue for the famed Hornbill Festival which held from 1st to 10th December every year and Khonoma village which is about 25 km from Kohima. Drive back to hotel for overnight stay at Kohima.

DAY 14: KOHIMA – IMPHAL

After breakfast drive 5 hours to Imphal. Check-in to the hotel and after some rest, visit Ima Keithel which is a market more than 500 years old run and managed entirely by as many as 5000 women, making it the largest and one-of-a-kind all women’s market in Asia. Overnight stay at Imphal.

DAY 15: IMPHAL

This morning, after breakfast, visit important tourist spots like Loktak Lake, Kangla Fort and Imphal War Cemetery. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Imphal.

DAY 16: IMPHAL TO SILCHAR

After breakfast, drive 8 hours to Silchar. Check-in to the hotel for an overnight stay at Silchar.

DAY 17: SILCHAR TO AIZAWL

In the Morning after breakfast, drive 6 hours to Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. With a resident population of 293416, it is the largest city in the state. After refreshment, visit Mizoram State Museum. Enjoy the night view of the city which is spectacular. Evening free for leisure and overnight stay at Aizawl.

DAY 18: AIZAWL

After breakfast, visit Mizoram’s attractive tourist spots like Reiek Heritage Village, Durtlang Hills, and Solomon Temple. Evening free for leisure and overnight stay at Aizawl.

DAY 19: AIZAWL – SILCHAR

In the morning after breakfast leave for Silchar which takes about 6 hours. Silchar is the headquarters of Cachar district in Assam. En-route visit KV Paradise, Durtlang Hills. Overnight stay at Silchar.

DAY 20: SILCHAR TO AGARTALA

After breakfast, drive 9 hours to Agartala, Tripura’s capital city. Evening free for leisure and overnight stay at Agartala.

DAY 21: AGARTALA

After breakfast, visit Agartala’s local sights like Ujjayanta Palace, Tripura Sundari Temple, Jagannath Bari, Neermahal Palace. Evening back to the hotel for an overnight stay at Agartala.

DAY 22: AGARTALA AIRPORT DROP

After breakfast check out from hotel and visit Unakoti Hills. Directly proceed to Agartala airport for onward journey with everlasting memories.
