Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong

Arrival at Guwahati Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport and meet our representative who will also be your travel guide throughout your journey. Then directly proceed to Shillong. Shillong is known as Scotland of the east. En route visit Barapani Lake also known as Umiam Lake surrounded by beautiful hills and a picturesque location is highly refreshing. Arrive at Shillong and If time permits visit Lady Hydari Park, Wards Lake (Timings 9:00 to 16:30 and Sundays closed). Evening check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 02: Shillong – Mawlynnong - Cherrapunji

This morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Mawlynnong. You can go for a walk in cleanest village in Asia. The main attractions are Single Decker Living Root Bridge and Cleanest Village. Here you have to climb down 350-400 steps. Also visit Sky View Bangladesh View Point. Please note it remains closed on Sundays. After that back to Cherrapunji check in to the hotel overnight stay at Cherrapunji hotel.

Day 03: Cherrapunji– Dawki – Shnongpdeng – Cherrapunji

This morning after breakfast proceeds to Dawki. En route visit: Bophill Falls. Dawki is a small town in Jaintia Hills district. The main attraction is the Umngot River (where you can witness Crystal Clear water during winter Season) and also visit: Suspension Bridge and Tamabil Indo-Bangladesh border. Later visit Shnongpdeng which is around 7.4 kms from Dawki . After that back to Cherrapunjiand stayed overnight at Cherrapunji.

Day 04: Cherrapunji Full Day Trekking to Nongriat Village – Cherrapunji

Morning after breakfast go for full day Trekking at Double Decker Root Bridge of Nongrait village, Meghalaya. Take some edible things with you in a small bag pack. The path to the double-decker root bridge is three kilometers, nearly two miles long. It has approximately 3,500 stairs and descends 2,400 feet. Climbing down will take approximately 1.5-2 hours. There is a beautiful waterfall right in front of the double decker bridge, where you can relax for a while. If you want to go further, to the Rainbow waterfall, it will take another 1-2 hours. Climbing back those 3000 steps will take another 2-3 hours. After that back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.

Note: It is closed on Sundays and you will not find any local guide there either.

Day 05: Cherrapunji Local Sightseeing – Shillong

Morning after breakfast explore Cherrapunji. Cherrapunjiis the land of wonderful waterfalls and beautiful valleys. Some of the main attractions are the Ramakrishna Mission Museum, Seven Sister Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Garden of Caves, Arwah cave and Eco Park. Mawsmai caves near Cherrapunji are an experience in itself, the limestone caves are well lit up. On the way to Shillong you can visit Elephant falls. You may have to climb down 350-400 steps to enjoy these beautiful waterfalls. Overnight stay in a hotel at Shillong.

Day 06: Shillong – Jowai – Laitlum – Shillong

This morning after breakfast, proceed to Jowai where you can experience the beauty of the famous Krangsur falls. After lunch proceed to Laitlum Grand Canyons. This place is remarkable due to its natural environmental formation. Evening back to Shillong and Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 07: Shillong – Mawphlang – Mawsynram – Shillong

This morning after breakfast directly proceeds to Mawphlang Sacred Grove. Here you can go for Trekking inside the forest with a thrilling experience, and also enjoy the beauty of Khasi Heritage Village. After that proceed to Mawsynram. Mawsynram is a popular hill station among tourists which is also famed as the wettest place in India. The region is blessed with incredible flora and fauna and you will always be greeted with unexpected rain anytime during the year. Visit Shivalinga in Mawjymbuin caves if time permits. Back to Shillong overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 08: Guwahati Departure

This morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and directly proceed to to Guwahati Airport /Railway Station for your onward journey with everlasting memories. En route if time permits you can visit Maa Kamakhya Temple (Kamakhya Gate opens at 8:00 Am) It is one of the oldest of the 51-Shakti Pithas situated on the Nilachal Hill western part of Guwahati city in Assam.
